Goody-Goody Gumdrops

Good Morning Sunshine!!!

This little number was for a special request workshop...I can't always make it work, but my hostess really loves owls! So I dug out the only owl image I have from the hostess set, Goody-Goody Gumdrops! He's simply watercolored. A little bit of paper piecing and presto :)

I actually CASEd this idea from Melissa's blog. Thank you so much! A perfect illustration, that even us demonstrators need (sometimes) A LOT of inspiration help :)

Crazy for Cupcakes 2

This is a quick one if you need a card in a hurry!!! While you can't see it in the picture, these cherries are made bright and shiny in 3-D using Crystal Effects!

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes

Inks: Basic Black, Old Olive

Wow Flowers

This lovely card is referred to as a slider card. The Happy Birthday circle slides up and down (and spins) in the slot. This is a fun type of card to do at Easter time using an egg or spring time with butterflies fluttering across your card! I once saw a baby card use this style and there was an image of a happy baby, crawling, that spun across the front of the card. Anyone getting this card feels very special :)

Making a slider card is a lot simpler than it looks....you simply use Stampin' Up's Word Window Punch to make your slot for sliding. And then you layer pennies and dimensionals! Call me anytime and I'll help you make your very own!!

Accessories: 1 inch circle punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, 1/8 inch hole punch, Word Window Punch, slot punch, dimensionals, gold brad, and pennies.

Just Buzzin' By 2

I made this card with a "gate" fold. The two sides open from the center. It's nice to take a break from the hum-drum of traditional folds occasionally!!

Crystal effects make the bees' antenna 3-D.
After I let everything dry, it occurred to me I should add dazzling diamonds glitter.

So when the gals made this card at my open house (way back in January)....I gave them the glitter and suggested they add it. Well, did they ever show me up!!! They added Crystal Effects and Glitter, not only to the antennae, but to the little wings and the flower pistil!!! I highly suggest it! Sometimes glitter just adds that extra special something to really catch your eye.

When I make this card again, I will certainly add the bling :)

Ink: Staz-On Black

Accessories: Stampin' Pastels, Sponges, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Crystal Effects, (Glitter - next time)
