Spooky Haunted House
My Spooky Haunted House complete with bats escaping the chimney is my newest Halloween decoration. I've placed this as the centerpiece for my dining room table with a dreadfully dead pumpkin tree looming over head :)
My house starts out completely stark white and I have painted it black and sprinkled it with dazzling diamonds glitter. My windows are covered with vellum, so the eery shadows of bats of spider webs give a sneak peek of what awaits inside!!!
With 2 exterior walls covered in designer paper and a spooky banner surrounded by our new waffle paper, a flameless candle inside for an eerie glow adds the finishing touch.....
I had plenty of fun playing with items from the holiday mini catalog to complete this little project and you can, too!!!
For $25 on October 15, you can learn the tricks to creating this little treat for yourself or as a gift!! The class includes your pre-painted black house, half a pack of Wicked Halloween Designer Series Paper and all the tools and accesories you'll need to make your very own Spooky House!!
Contact me if you would like to attend....Reservations are limited and must be received no later than Sunday, October 10, 2010.

Spooky Tree
Isn't this just too FUN!?!
My front entrance has a nice big picture window and I've been waiting for months to get this Definitely Decorative Spooky Tree on display!! I even added a couple of spiders from the Definitely Decorative Spooky Things in the new Holiday Mini. Can you believe how my curtains add the perfect foggy, spooky forest background for my scene??
I know it's a bit early for Halloween, but it's my FAVORITE holiday for decorations... and, naturally, my boys get very excited for Halloween, as well. Mostly for the costumes and candy, but we all know how to get in the mood early with festive decorations!
I have been anxiously awaiting for October 1 to put this little dandy up, but yesterday we saw THE famous Halloween house! Just a few blocks away, a house we pass on the way home from school every day really goes all out with their Halloween decorations. Well, apparently they put them up over the weekend :) And each year when we see this house my boys start asking when we are going to decorate.... if I'm not quick enough, they declare we must not be celebrating Halloween this year. They don't appreciate my excuse that it's still September!
I thought "why wait??" So, I had a little fun today and got a jump start on my decorations and well, since yesterday was the first day of fall.....

This was sooo much fun today, I just might have to choose a new decoration each month!
